By the time you get to your mid-40s, you’re meant to have a handle on this thing called life, but actually that’s the point at which a lot of women can begin to struggle.
Whether it’s low-level anxiety or irritability, trouble sleeping, low mood, or an inability to focus — right at the point when everything should be falling into place, it seems to be falling apart.
But did you know that more often than not, this is down to your hormones?
From around the mid-40s onwards, you’re likely to be peri-menopausal. This is when your body will gradually produce lower levels of the sex hormones oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone, and you might find your monthly cycle becomes irregular.
And while you might have been expecting your periods to go haywire, finding that it affects your other areas of your health and wellbeing can come as a bit of a shock.
But don’t panic, there’s a supplement that could help with these symptoms — and not just any supplement.
LYMA is the only supplement* that uses nine peer-reviewed, scientifically-proven ingredients in a single supplement and was developed to tackle sleep issues, anxiety, focus, performance, health and beauty — all in just four optimally-dosed daily capsules.
It’s not surprising menopausal women can often feel there’s no hope when they’re faced with products claiming to work, but backed up with low doses of unproven ingredients.
‘When we created LYMA we did the opposite of every other product in the industry,’ says LYMA Founder Lucy Goff. ‘We insisted we could give women medical-grade nutrients they couldn’t get in their diet, in doses powerful enough to make a big difference, without having to take a handful of pills a day.’
And it’s already got fans all over the world including presenter and model Melanie Sykes who says: ‘The impact of the LYMA supplement on my life is extraordinary and I’m loving it. I am on a next level plain of energy, focus and motivation.’
So we couldn’t wait to see how LYMA measured up! We asked two women to give it a go, and report back.
Here’s how they got on…
Could LYMA help get your symptoms of peri-menopause under control?
‘There’s no doubt the supplements have been of huge benefit!’
Claire Jones, 45, from Abergavenny suffers from anxiety, low mood, and aching joints, all of which is compounded by poor sleep.

Claire Jones was suffering from poor sleep and low mood so was keen to try LYMA
‘I constantly get up to go to the loo in the middle of the night and I just feel tired all the time. I’ve tried exercising, going to bed early, and taking some vitamin supplements, but I still really often get to lunchtime and feel like I need to go back to bed. I’ll try anything that might help.’
Week 1
‘After just two days of taking LYMA I was falling asleep nicely — and staying asleep, no tossing and turning for hours, or getting up in the night. And getting a good night’s sleep just makes everything feel better anyway.’
Week 2
‘By the end of the first week, I’d noticed that I was starting to feel much calmer, and chilled. As a very anxious person, this is a godsend. My sleep continues to be good and since I started taking the supplement, I’ve not had an episode of restless legs that has kept me awake in the past.’

Claire says: ‘There’s no doubt the supplements have been of huge benefit.’
Week 3
‘Three weeks in, my sleep and mood continue to be good but I’ve also started to notice physical changes too. My skin — not just on my face but on my body too — feels really soft, and my nails seem to be harder and stronger as well.’
Week 4
‘There’s no doubt the supplements have been of huge benefit. I’m less aggravated, much more relaxed and my sleep has never been better. I’ve even had friends compliment me on how good my skin is looking. I’ll definitely be continuing with them.’

‘After a month my skin was completely clear!’
Suman Randhawa, 49, from London had a blood test last year that confirmed she was in full menopause.

Suman Randhawa had a blood test which confirmed she was in menopause. She tried LYMA to see if it could help with her symptoms.
For Suman, one of the biggest issues has been anxiety.
‘Anxiety was not something I’d ever really experienced before the menopause hit, she says. ‘Suddenly I had knots in my stomach, I felt overwhelmed, and I also suffered from spells of low mood. At times my brain can feel very cloudy, but I’m fine as long as I have my notebook with me.’
And sleep has also become an issue for Suman.
‘I find I get to bed very late and I struggle to fall asleep, which is unusual as I’ve always slept well.’
When Suman started taking LYMA, one of the first things she noticed was its impact on her nails.
‘I’m very conscious of my nails,’ she says. ‘It was almost as if they had a growth spurt the minute I started taking the supplements.’
And, after three weeks, she started to see the impact on her skin too.
She explained: ‘Three weeks in I noticed that I hadn’t had any spots for four to five days which is very unusual for me as I continuously have spots, and after a month my skin was completely clear.
‘After a month on LYMA I realised that even though I didn’t feel I was sleeping well, I felt refreshed when I woke up, and I haven’t been feeling as tired.’
